NRM youth league’s Kitatta trounces Mutabazi in Lwengo

National Resistance Movement (NRM) Youth League Vice Chairperson for Central Region Ibrahim Kitatta has trounced Lwengo District Chairperson George Mutabazi in the just concluded NRM primaries.

Kitatta garnered 31,688 votes gaining a 62.9 percent victory over Mutabazi’s 18, 656 (37.1%).

The Lwengo District NRM EC officer Abaasi Mubiru declared Kitatta the NRM flag bearer at 9:20 pm.

“I, therefore, declare Kitatta Ibrahim who has obtained the highest number of votes (31,688) representing 62.9% as he dully elected NRM flag bearer for LCV chairperson, Lwengo District, 2020.”

In November 2014, Mutabazi shot to fame when he flogged some residents of his area who had failed to turn up for voluntary community work (bulungi bwa nsi).
